Hi, I'm Shivani

I have spent the best part of the last decade educating young people about the diverse and beautiful subject of Biology. But my years of teaching have highlighted the lack of coverage of the intricacies of fertility, pregnancy, birth and the 4th trimester, yet it happens all around us, all of the time.

Birthology was founded on the belief that every birthing person deserves the right education, information and empowerment throughout their journey to parenthood. I am fascinated by the science of conception, pregnancy and childbirth and believe it is critical that we all have this fundamental knowledge to truly embrace the miracle of bringing a baby into this world. 

I am DBS checked (Enhanced DBS), I graduated with a Bachelor of Science Hons in Psychology and hold a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (Science). Alongside this, I am an accredited doula, trained by The Original Birth Connection.
